Karl Espegard & Diego Romero

Argentine guitarist Diego Romero and Norwegian violinist Karl Espegard made their duo debut in Norway and Germany in the fall of 2019. On stage, they captivate the audience with their emotional performances and virtuoso style, playing music ranging from traditional Argentine tango and folklore to original compositions and romantic classical music.

Diego Romero is a guitarist and composer from Tandil, Argentina. He has accompanied legendary singers like Adriana Varela and Raúl Lavié, giving numerous appearances on Argentine TV as well as performing in all of his country’s major theaters, including Teatro Colón, Teatro Gran Rex, Centro Cultural Kirchner, and Usina del Arte. Since 2017, Diego has undergone tours in Argentina and Russia with the Argentine dance company Potros Malambo. His first studio album with original compositions, entitled «Para un Comienzo», was released in 2019 on Aqcua Records, Buenos Aires.

Karl Espegard is a violinist from Drammen, Norway. He works with some of Norway’s most prominent theaters such as Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheatret. Karl is a founding member of the international tango ensemble El Muro Tango, with whom he released the album «Nostálgico» in 2018 to great acclaim in the international press. His concert activities have taken him around the world, playing in prestigious concert halls like Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw, Moscow International House of Music, and Konzerthaus München.
