Astor Piazzolla’s Oblivion takes on a strikingly different character in Pablo Murgier’s original arrangement. A persistent rhythmic undercurrent and an open approach to improvisation draw the music towards the meeting point of Argentine tango and Nordic jazz, while preserving the quiet emotional gravity at the heart of the piece.
Tango goes Nordic is an artistic project bringing Argentine tango into dialogue with Nordic jazz through original arrangements and improvisation.
