Defined as “an entire orchestra of two musicians”, Tango Sonos is a firmly established group on the international tango scene. Well known in concert halls and tango festivals all over Europe, they have collaborated for years with some of the best dancers, musicians and internationally renowned actors and directors. Tango Sonos is the orchestra of the world-renowned “Tango x 2” company directed by Miguel Angel Zotto. In 2021 they released the album “Tango all’Opera” with the Russian violist Anna Serova and the Argentinian bassist Gerardo Scaglione, where the great Italian Opera tradition meets the rhythms of Tango and Argentinian folklore.

Karl Espegard is a violinist from Drammen, Norway. He works with some of Norway’s most prominent theaters such as Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheatret. Karl is a founding member of the international tango ensemble El Muro Tango, with whom he released the album «Nostálgico» in 2018 to great acclaim in the international press. His concert activities have taken him around the world, playing in prestigious concert halls like Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw, Moscow International House of Music, Beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall, and Konzerthaus München.
